Bargensdorf (dpa / mv) - A fire in Bargensdorf near Neubrandenburg caused around 20,000 euros in damage and a temporary road closure.

As a police spokesman said on Wednesday, the fire broke out in a wooden outbuilding that morning and threatened to spread to a residential building.

The cause is said to have been pieces of wood that were stored too close to a provisional gas heater.

The outbuilding burned down.

The fire brigade was able to prevent it from spreading to other buildings.

The street village of Bargensdorf is located on the state road 33 to Stargard Castle.

Nobody got hurt.
