Bremen (dpa / lni) - In the state of Bremen, hairdressing salons are closed due to Corona, as everywhere else - but hairdressers can visit and serve their customers at home.

The public order office has confirmed this reading of the Corona regulation, the local Chamber of Crafts announced on Wednesday.

She called this information surprising.

Since the ordinance was passed on December 16, "it has been assumed that all non-medical personal hygiene services are prohibited".

The "Weser-Kurier" reported on the exception on Wednesday.

However, the Chamber warned the hairdressers not to rush to accept house call assignments.

"Consider the health risk if you go into the private environment of the customer!" Warned the chamber.

It is also uncertain how long this exemption will exist.

The goal is a general reopening of the salons.

The Bremen ordinance decrees the closure of all non-medical personal care establishments at one point.

It's about “hairdressers, cosmetic studios, massage practices, tattoo studios and nail studios”.

Elsewhere, handicrafts and services are generally declared permissible, even if the minimum distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained.

Appropriate hygiene measures are a prerequisite.

In other countries such as Lower Saxony or Bavaria, mobile work for hairdressers is prohibited.
