Ingolstadt (AP) - Third division soccer team Hallescher FC surprisingly won a point on Wednesday evening.

The protégés of coach Florian Schnorrenberg parted with hosts FC Ingolstadt 1: 1 (0: 1) and were able to increase the gap to the relegation zone to nine points.

Bayern, however, missed the leap into the top three due to the draw.

Terrence Boyd (51) was also able to compensate for the home side's lead with a converted hand penalty from Stefan Kutschke (43rd) from the penalty spot.

The home side started furiously.

After ten minutes, HFC goalkeeper Kai Eisele prevented a threatening deficit with a brilliant save against Caniggia Elva.

In the 27th minute, the Halle goalkeeper reacted superbly against Filip Bilbija again.

Stefan Kutschke chased the margin against the outside post.

However, shortly before the break, the Ingolstadt striker gave the Schanzer a penalty with a converted penalty.

Previously, Julian Guttau had unluckily jumped the ball from the thigh to the upper arm in his own penalty area.

Six minutes after the break, the Halle team equalized with Terrence Boyd's eleventh goal of the season.

The striker also scored from the penalty spot after Braydon Manu had been saved.

Then the home side increased the pressure.

Eisele (72nd) steered a shot from Dennis Eckert Ayensa over the bar and prevented them from falling back again.

As the game progressed, the Halleers were able to free themselves better and better from their grip, but no clear opportunity for a possible winner.

In stoppage time Eisele saved the guests with a strong parade against Merlin Röhl the plus counter.
