Berlin (dpa) - The renowned Berlin Academy of Dramatic Art Ernst Busch is getting a new management.

The film scholar Anna Luise Kiss (39) will take up office on October 1, as the university announced on Wednesday.

She prevailed against the previous rector Holger Zebu Kluth in the election in December.

Kiss was previously, among other things, actress, lecturer and Vice President for Research and Transfer of the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.

Many prominent actors and actresses learned their trade at the Busch School, which was already known in GDR times, including Nina Hoss, Devid Striesow, Corinna Harfouch and Jan Josef Liefers.
