Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A car driver is said to have ignored shots of the police on his car himself during a daring escape through Cologne.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, the investigators reported on Wednesday.
The driver of the black car was said to have run towards police officers on the run from a control.
With jumps to the side they could have got themselves to safety.
A police officer is said to have shot the vehicle several times in the course of the incident.
According to the information, the car raced over a Rhine bridge in the direction of the autobahn.
At a speed of more than 150 kilometers per hour, the driver switched off the lights, the police said.
The officials stopped the persecution because of the incalculable risk.
The car, which is said to have been occupied by three young men, is now being searched for.
