Bad Iburg (dpa / lni) - Two processes of alleged cruelty to animals in slaughter transports begin today (9:00 am and 11:10 am) in Bad Iburg (Osnabrück district).
Two drivers have to answer before the local court.
They are said to have transported cattle to the slaughterhouse in Bad Iburg independently of each other in August and September 2018, although animals were injured and sick and therefore not fit for transport.
The drivers are said to have known about the injuries.
According to the indictment, they accepted the pain and suffering of the animals on the drive to the slaughterhouse and during unloading.
Video recordings that animal rights activists had secretly made in the delivery area of the slaughterhouse started the process.
