According to RIA Novosti, in the hands of Butina, symbolically handcuffed, is a poster with the words "High security freedom of speech zone."

“Unfortunately, I had to put on the handcuffs again.

This is the very last thing I would like to do, but I cannot do otherwise.

This is an action of solidarity with our compatriots, with journalists in Latvia, who are now being persecuted for an alternative point of view, for cooperation with the Russian media, "Butina said.

Vyshinsky noted that not only the rights of journalists, but also of compatriots are being violated in Latvia.

“In Latvia, not only the rights of our fellow journalists, but also of our compatriots are grossly violated .... They violate the main rule of a journalist - the ability to choose an editorial office that corresponds to his inner convictions ... The fact that in Latvia such concepts as European sanctions are being manipulated , not only we, not only the Russian Foreign Ministry, but also an organization that is difficult to suspect of sympathy for our country, the Reporters Without Borders organization, noted Vyshinsky.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow will continue to seek concrete actions from international structures in the situation with the persecution of Sputnik and Baltnews journalists in Latvia.
