January 26, 2021Metre Europe grapples with the effects of Pfizer's delays in supplying covid-19 vaccines as the United States accelerates.

The US centers will receive the 200 million doses of the anti-covid vaccine agreed with Pfizer 2 months in advance of the established schedule.

This is thanks to the discovery that each vial of the product contains about 6 doses, which is one more than the 5 expected per vial - explained Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla to Bloomberg.

“We are thus able to deliver 120 million doses to the US now and not within the first quarter of the year as planned. The same will happen for the 200 million total doses that should have been delivered at the end of the second quarter. 'instead with 2 months in advance of the deadline ".

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) itself has given permission to update the Pfizer vaccine instructions, which now read: "After being diluted, Pfizer-BioNtech's covid-19 vaccine vials contain 6 doses of 0.3 mL vaccine." .
