The secretary-generals of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party met with Chief Cabinet Secretary Kato over measures against the new coronavirus, and requested that the public be provided with polite information regarding the outlook for the start of vaccination.

In addition to the secretary-generals of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party and the chairman of the Diet Countermeasures Committee, Chief Cabinet Secretary Kato attended the talks held in the Diet and exchanged opinions on measures against the new coronavirus.



Among them, the secretary-generals of both parties requested that the people be provided with polite information on the outlook for the start of vaccination and that vaccination be carried out smoothly.



In response, Chief Cabinet Secretary Kato responded, "I would like to take all possible measures."



On the other hand, at the meeting, we confirmed the policy of aiming to reach an agreement through amendment discussions between the ruling and opposition parties on amendments to the Special Measures Law and the Infectious Diseases Law, which aim to enhance the effectiveness of measures against the new coronavirus.
