Foreign Minister Ann Linde says that they want to send a clear signal to those who plan travel this spring.

The advice now applies to unnecessary travel outside the EU, EEA and Schengen.

"Uncertain situation persists"

On Sunday, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs decided on the advice against unnecessary travel to Norway and a ban on entry from Norway to Sweden.

Temporary entry bans also apply from the UK and Denmark since the end of December and dissuasion from traveling to the UK.

- Our assessment is that the uncertain situation persists in all values ​​in the coming months, says Ann Linde.

Linde says that they strive for clarity in decisions.

- If you have to make a necessary trip, you have to read and follow what is happening and above all how to travel home, Linde says.

At present, there are no general quarantine regulations, but for people who have been to the UK and Norway, the Swedish Public Health Agency urges that you sit in self-quarantine and do coronation tests.
