Last week, the government opened up for children born in 2005 and later to start their leisure activities again, such as indoor sports.

For young people in high school, however, it is still outdoor sports that apply.

- It is clear that it would mean a lot for the older young people to get started again, but it has been the steps FHM and we judged that we could take now.

A year for a small child is a lot, says Minister of Culture and Sports Amanda Lind (MP) when she visited SVT's Morning Studio to answer viewers' questions about the restrictions.

- As soon as the infection situation makes it possible, it would be good if even older young people get started again, Lind says.

She states that the government is now trying to harmonize the rules that apply.

- What we have done now is to ease the restrictions for the very youngest to get as much normality as possible.

We are in a phase where we can begin to harmonize different requirements and restrictions, but with caution, says the Minister of Culture.

Does not preclude further action

The new pandemic law provides an opportunity to regulate what it looks like in a gym, among other things. If the infection situation changes, however, you can close indoor facilities, says Amanda Lind.

- We do not rule out that sharper measures may be needed.

We monitor the infection situation every week, says Amanda Lind.
