Stuttgart (dpa) - People in Germany have not lost the desire to travel despite the corona pandemic - but according to a new study there is a lot of uncertainty and many concerns.

According to the “Travel Analysis 2021”, only 16 percent definitely do not plan a vacation trip in spring or summer.

However, only 22 percent have firm intentions and a clear goal in mind, according to the study by the vacation and travel research association presented on Tuesday at the start of the Stuttgart travel fair CMT.

The rest are still hesitating whether they should really travel - or want to, but don't know where to go.

According to the study, the greatest possible flexibility is currently particularly important when booking a vacation, followed by the hygiene requirements at the vacation destination.

When it comes to travel destinations, Germany remains number one, while air travel and long-distance travel are falling in favor of vacationers.
