In France, Emmanuel Macron is procrastinating on a reconfinement.

The president is meeting again a Health Defense Council this Wednesday morning to take stock of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Despite calls from some doctors and scientists, a third lockdown should not be decided right away.

In the political class, we are also cautious about the advisability of a reconfinement which would have heavy economic, social and psychological damage.

A third confinement is not inevitable, wants to believe the leader of the right-wing opposition Damien Abad.

“

The figures are not the figures for November nor the figures for March, therefore from an objective and quantified point of view, for the moment, nothing justifies that we go in this direction, he

comments.

What bothers me is not the hesitation of the President of the Republic, it is the totally contradictory speeches that we hear from the same people sometimes in 24 hours apart.

We still have to have a course of action and stick to it.

 "

The government is not playing with the nerves of the French, replies Christophe Castaner, the president of the group En Marche in the Assembly: "

There, the will of the government, it is to wait to have a clear vision on the effect. a

general curfew at 6 p.m.

throughout the country and it is on the basis of this reality that we must make decisions.

"

But, for the centrist Jean-Christophe Lagarde, the executive is not transparent with the French: “

The third confinement is inevitable, I do not understand why the government does not say it.

The question is when and how

 ?

We see in Great Britain, we see everywhere that the increase in the spread of the virus has forced these countries that did not want to be confined to do so.

 "

The government will have the results of its

investigations

into the effectiveness of the curfew and the spread of the English variant

at the end of the week

Vaccines: no dose lag

How to speed up vaccination in France, when the epidemic is very active, and the number of doses limited?

In an opinion delivered this weekend, the High Authority for Health (HAS), an advisory body, pleaded for the 2nd injection of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine to be postponed to 6 weeks instead of the 3 or 4 planned.

Uncommonly, the Ministry of Health does not follow this advice and ultimately side with that of many other scientists.

The vaccination schedule therefore does not change.

We are faced with a share of uncertainties and I therefore choose the security of validated data that we can fully understand.
