Braunschweig (dpa) - Because of a positive corona test, the entire team of the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig must be in quarantine for at least ten days.

The virus had been detected in athletic trainer Àlvaro de Pedro, as the Lower Saxony basketball Bundesliga team announced on Tuesday.

The Braunschweiger's two home games against Telekom Baskets Bonn on Wednesday and against Hamburg Towers (January 31) have to be postponed, as well as the away game against the Niners Chemnitz on February 3.

De Pedro was still in contact with the Löwen team during training on Monday.

Therefore, the responsible health department ordered the quarantine.

According to the club, the athletics coach is symptom-free.

The Braunschweig basketball players had to spend several days in isolation at the beginning of the month after positive tests.
