The aggravated rapes concern four children under the age of 15 and have taken place in a municipality in central Värmland.
The children are close to the man.
- For the sake of the children, I can not say exactly what relationship they had.
The children were of mixed ages under 15, says chamber prosecutor Cecilia Aronsson.
"One of the children told"
The man has on several occasions exposed the children to sexual acts that are comparable to intercourse.
- This came to the attention of the police last autumn when one of the children told another close relative what had happened, says Cecilia Aronsson.
Particular ruthlessness
Prosecutors believe that the crime should be considered serious with regard to the child's age and that the man has shown special ruthlessness by repeatedly raping a child to whom he is close.
In addition, the rapes took place in a place where the children had reason to feel safe.
- It has happened indoors, says Cecilia Aronsson.
Denies all allegations
The man is now charged with three counts of aggravated child rape and three counts of aggravated child sexual abuse.
According to Aronsson, the man completely denies all accusations.
The main negotiations, which are expected to last for five days, will begin next week.
