Erfurt (dpa / th) - Thuringia's minority coalition and the opposition CDU have not yet concluded a transition agreement until an early state election in September.

A third round of negotiations between the Left, SPD, Greens and CDU is necessary in the coming week.

That said the group chairmen of the Left, Susanne Hennig-Wellsow, and the CDU, Mario Voigt, on Tuesday evening after several hours of talks in Erfurt.

There is agreement between the four groups that a new corona package will be put together quickly.

In addition, the state parliament is supposed to create the conditions for the state to be able to reimburse daycare fees.

The envisaged agreement between the four groups should ensure that there is no political standstill in the coming months.

There was agreement on the mechanism that would continue to allow parliamentary decisions, said Hennig-Wellsow.

Red-Red-Green are missing four votes for their own majority in parliament.

The four parliamentary groups recently agreed that the state parliament should be re-elected on September 26th - the day of the federal election.

The date originally planned was April 25, but this was canceled due to the effects of the corona pandemic.
