Los Angeles (AP) - Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (73) and her daughter Chelsea (40) have envisaged a series about Kurdish fighters with their production company.

As the US trade magazine “The Hollywood Reporter” reports, a TV series based on the book “The Daughters of Kobani” by author Gayle Tzemach Lemmon is to be created.

"The Daughters of Kobani is an extraordinary report of courageous, defiant women fighting for justice and equality," Hillary Clinton is quoted in the report.

You would have set up the production company HiddenLight «to celebrate heroes - sung and unsung - whose courage is too often overlooked.

And we couldn't be more excited to bring this inspiring story to viewers around the world, ”continued Clinton.

The book is based on interviews and reports about Kurdish women fighters against the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) in northern Syria.
