Kjell Ivarsson, director of health and medical care in Blekinge, believes that the county is now entering a new situation - where the number of inpatients is once again on the way down.

- Last week we had 50 hospitalized, now we are down to 38. So this week will be decisive for which direction we go, he says.

He says that they have now also begun to prepare to return to regular medical care.

- We have a working group that is looking at how we should return to the "new normal" state in an orderly manner, says Kjell Ivarsson.

Letters are sent home - to book an appointment

The vaccination also goes into the next stage.

After a bit of a hassle with sensitive information that was not allowed to be shared between the municipality and the region, the vaccination for those with home care who do not take part in other care will now start.

- During the week that was, we instead had to call those without home care who were 90 plus.

So we had to make a small change in the plan, but now we will get started, says Mats Berggren, Covid19 coordinator in the Blekinge region and continues:

- We have now solved it so that those who are affected by the problem with the sensitive information will receive a letter home.

It says that you should simply contact your health center and book an appointment for vaccination.

People with close household contacts, ie those who live with those who have home care services, should also be offered vaccines at the same time - both for safety and effectiveness.
