Around 100 jihadists were killed and around 20 others captured during a Franco-Malian military operation carried out in January in central Mali, the Malian army announced on Tuesday evening.

"Around a hundred terrorists neutralized, around twenty captured and several motorcycles and war materials seized" during Operation "Eclipse" carried out from January 2 to 20 by the Malian army and the French Barkhane force, the Malian army said on its website, confirming previous information from sources close to the case.
