Bad Rappenau (dpa / lsw) - More than 150 memorabilia from the US actor and singer David Hasselhoff (“Baywatch”, “Knight Rider”) went under the hammer in Los Angeles on Saturday: The BikiniArtMuseum in Bad Rappenau bid at the online auction of the cult star of the 1990s, several cinematic memories, including a swimming trunks worn and signed by Hasselhoff for $ 600.

According to Monday, the museum was successful in five other bids.

These include a signed Baywatch cast photo with Pamela Anderson in a red swimsuit valued at $ 1,800 and an autographed original script for $ 500.

"There is hardly anyone who has not heard her name yet, or who does not think of the bright red high-cut swimsuits of the cult series when it comes to swimwear," said Lisa Otten, historian of the Bikini Museum.

"The most-watched TV series in the world at the time is therefore also part of the latest swimwear and cultural history."

The most valuable bikinis in the museum include the gold two-piece by bikini inventor Louis Réard and two bikinis by film stars Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot.

Due to the corona restrictions, the museum is currently closed.
