Patrushev and Assistant to the President of the United States Discussed the Issues of Extending the START Treaty

"Nikolai Patrushev and Jacob Sullivan discussed the extension of the Treaty on Further Measures to Reduce and Limit Strategic Offensive Arms (START), as well as the prospects for the development of Russian-American cooperation in the field of security," the press service of the Russian Security Council quoted RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the telephone conversation between Patrushev and Sullivan was initiated by the United States.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that experts from Russia and the United States had begun practical work on the extension of the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Arms.
