Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - A new delivery with corona vaccine arrived in Hesse on Monday.

The Ministry of the Interior in Wiesbaden announced that it was around 35,100 doses of the vaccine from Biontech and Pfizer.

The federal government had informed the federal states that vaccine deliveries would be reduced over a period of four weeks.

Even if fewer doses have currently been made available, according to the ministry, all dates for initial vaccinations in the regional vaccination centers are still stored with sufficient doses.

Because the country basically halves all incoming deliveries and stores one half for the corona second vaccination, the second vaccinations in the retirement and nursing homes by mobile teams and in the coordinating Covid 19 hospitals could continue as planned.

The Interior Ministry announced that a delivery of 7200 doses of the vaccine from Moderna is expected by the end of this week.

These vaccination doses are currently still safely stored as a reserve, should further deliveries turn out to be smaller than initially announced.
