Darmstadt (AP) - SV Darmstadt 98 has extended the contract with offensive player Tobias Kempe.
The 31-year-old midfielder will stay with the second division soccer team until June 2023, as the South Hesse announced on Monday.
"I'm proud to be able to wear the lily on my chest and therefore glad to have extended my contract," said Kempe.
The sporting director Carsten Carsten Wehlmann called the new contract an "important building block in our planning".
Only in the previous week had Captain Fabian Holland extended until June 2022 with the lilies.
Kempe has already scored eight goals in the current second division season.
Only striker Serdar Dursun (nine) has one more goal.
Kempe has been playing in Darmstadt since 2014 - only interrupted by one season at 1. FC Nürnberg.
