Since the validation of the Coronavac vaccine, music is playing on a loop on social networks.

It is a cover of MC Fioti's funk song "Bum Bum Tam Tam", the lyrics of which have been replaced by "Butantan" from the name of the institute responsible for the production of the Chinese vaccine Coronavac in Brazil.

It was first and foremost the internet users who adapted the lyrics of this funk piece, which normally speaks of “

bum bum

 ” (buttocks in Portuguese).

On January 7, when the results of the vaccine's effectiveness were released, the new version of the song appeared as well.

It has even been performed by

the Bahia State Symphony Orchestra

.

A clip shot with the Butantan Institute

Seeing his success, MC Fioti, a young 26-year-old funk musician, decided to take it officially.

In 2017, he was the first Brazilian to reach 1.5 billion views on YouTube with this song.

He uploaded a clip of the cover this Saturday, which garnered over three and a half million views in just over a day!

The song turns on a loop and we have a hard time getting it out of our heads.

MC Fioti even shot part of his music video in the Butantan institute.

We find him with his style of singer of funk: sunglasses, gold chain and his big blue wick.

But unlike the original clip where he is in an oriental setting, with belly dancers, he wanders in the rooms of the laboratory, in front of the microscopes and the doses of vaccine.

And the staff of Butantan also participates in the clip by dancing.

This is the first time that the worlds of funk and science have come together.

Encouragement to get vaccinated

This music is therefore also a way to encourage Brazilians to be vaccinated.

The few words sum up the message: "

it is the vaccine that will cure the virus, which will save a lot of people

 ".

The vaccine took a long time to be approved in Brazil, and in a very complicated context: despite the 215,000 deaths, the president minimizes the pandemic from the start and above all questions the effectiveness of the vaccine, encourages

fake news

.

Jair Bolsonaro

has made it a political issue

.

He clearly opposed the Chinese vaccine and said publicly he would not get the vaccine.

Vaccination has started tentatively for a week in Brazil.

But in this country of continental dimensions, there are still very few vaccines that have arrived, and even syringes are missing.
