Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - At the start of vaccination appointments in North Rhine-Westphalia, there was a rush to the websites and hotlines.
The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians spoke of an overload on Monday afternoon and asked for patience.
Extremely high access numbers to the website and a high number of calls to the 116 117 hotline currently lead to considerable delays in booking appointments for those 80 and over who are eligible for vaccination in NRW, report the organizations.
"Work is under high pressure to remove the bottlenecks," it said.
"Anyone who has the opportunity to book an appointment at a later date should make use of this option."
