French Sébastien Ogier, seven-time world champion, won the 8th Monte-Carlo Rally of his career on Sunday, a record, and took the lead of the world championship (WRC) after the first round of the year in the south -east of France.
He won in front of Briton Elfyn Evans, his teammate at Toyota, the 89th edition of the famous rally, which celebrated behind closed doors because of the Covid-19 the 110th anniversary of its creation.
Ogier, 37, now surpasses Sébastien Loeb (7 wins), nine-time world champion in the Monegasque event.
