After Donald Trump's presidential defeat on November 3, party leadership in the southwestern state decided to censor three of the most important and influential members of the Republicans in Arizona for their lack of loyalty to the former President.

The party's governing body meeting in Arizona was held behind closed doors in Phoenix.

And unsurprisingly, the state governor, a former senator, and John McCain's widow have been censored.

This opposition measure is above all symbolic, but it illustrates the division within the party.

The reason ?

Their lack of loyalty to Donald Trump.

Governor Doug Ducey had yet defended the former tenant of the White House to the end.

But he also supported the electoral process in Arizona against the advice of the former president.

Former Senator Jeff Flake called on him to vote for Joe Biden, as did Cindy McCain, who was even part of his transition team.

At the announcement of her censorship, Cindy McCain had fun and assured herself to be in " 

good company

 " with her late husband.

John McCain, fierce opponent of Donald Trump, had himself been censored in 2015, he who had until then had a huge influence on the policies of this state.
