Berlin (dpa) - Gunslinger singer and family man Johannes Strate (40) fears negative consequences of the corona pandemic for the educational opportunities of some children.
“Homeschooling will simply widen the educational gap even further.
I see a big problem, ”said Strate of the German press agency.
The Hamburg-based musician (“Liebe auf Fern”, “Spinner”) and his girlfriend, shop owner and blogger Anna Angelina Wolfers, are currently supporting their eight-year-old son Emil in homeschooling.
In the morning, the elementary school students were given assignments via video switch and could ask questions.
Then the parents are asked as substitute teachers.
“As a family, we naturally have to reorganize ourselves every day because we both work.
The learning itself works quite well because our son fortunately has a good understanding of German and math.
We're neglecting subjects like English and geography at the moment, ”Strate continued.

The 40-year-old is currently working on new music with his bandmates and does not believe in a quick return to the stage.
«I can imagine that some kind of concert will be possible in late summer.
But I think it would be daring to book a big indoor tour now. "
