Frankfurt (AP) - A young man threatened three people in Frankfurt with a hammer on Sunday night.
The two 16 and 33-year-old women and a 44-year-old man were in a playground in the Bornheim district when the 25-year-old approached the two women and threatened them with "beating the skull", as the police said.
The 44-year-old tried to intervene and was then also threatened.
When the group of three then left the playground, they were reportedly followed by the man until he suddenly disappeared into a house.
The police summoned obtained a search warrant from the public prosecutor.
The 25-year-old was arrested without resistance, it said.
Criminal proceedings are now pending against him on suspicion of attempted dangerous bodily harm, threats and coercion.
