Berlin (dpa) - Alba Berlin has fulfilled its compulsory role in the basketball Bundesliga and scored the sixth win in a row.
The German champions and Euroleague participants defeated a weakened team from s.Oliver Würzburg with 99:85 (53:45) on Sunday evening.
In addition to Zach Smith and Justin Sears, the Würzburg team had to do without Brekkott Chapman, so Jonas Weitzel only had one center in the line-up of the guests.
Nevertheless, coach Denis Wucherer's team was able to keep up well in the first 15 minutes, but then Alba dominated the game.
The most accurate Berliners were Simone Fontecchio and Luke Sikma with 16 points each.
The best Würzburger was Weitzel with a career best of 20 points.
Alba was again looked after by assistant coach Israel Gonzalez.
