As specified at the United States Embassy in Zagreb, only graduates of US government-sponsored educational programs, as well as Croatian citizens who have studied or are studying in US secondary schools and universities, will be invited to participate in the initiative.

They will be involved in the implementation of educational projects aimed at developing artificial intelligence in the country, strengthening energy and cyber security, as well as promoting “understanding of the past” (in particular, the document mentions the need to educate Croatian citizens about the Holocaust and other historical issues).

In addition, the American side is interested in the implementation by potential contractors of initiatives involving the development of the Croatian economy and cooperation between Zagreb and Washington in this area.

The size of one grant can vary between $ 10-25 thousand, the total project budget, according to preliminary estimates, will be $ 75 thousand, follows from the text.

Payments will be made through non-profit or non-governmental organizations registered in Croatia.

In March, it was announced that the State Department intended to allocate $ 2 million for grants to non-governmental organizations within the framework of the Program for the Study of Eastern Europe and the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union.
