Gangelt (dpa / lnw) - On the federal highway 56 between Gangelt and Birgden (district of Heinsberg) a truck overturned on Friday afternoon.
For an unexplained cause, the driver with his truck had drifted off the road and onto the grass verge, the police said.
As a result, the truck turned across the road and fell on its side.
The semi-trailer was badly damaged, the driver was uninjured.
According to the police, the recovery of the trailer loaded with tarpaulin was very time-consuming.
The B56 between the Gangelt and Birgden exits was completely closed in both directions for more than eight hours.
