This week, a new so-called "citizen promise" was presented by the police and municipality in Trollhättan.

The work will focus on drugs and the forces behind the drug trade.

The promise is based on the fact that as many as 30 percent of Trollhätte residents sought out this investment in a citizen survey.

The goal of the initiative is to get hold of those who are behind drug management.

It is about accessing those who openly sell drugs or are behind car fires and other vandalism.

The focus is on stopping the people who in the long run risk becoming a driving force in crime in the long run.

"Targeted efforts at the first police interrogation"

Anne Fagerberg, crime prevention strategist in the city of Trollhättan, says in a press release that this is done through an in-depth investment in the so-called "TUTI project" which stands for "early detection, early intervention".

- It is important to react early and from the City of Trollhättan's side, young people suspected of their first drug crime are given a short response time and targeted support measures for the whole family already at the police interrogation, says Fagerberg.
