Weener (dpa / lni) - A person died in a fire in a single-family house in Weener in East Frisia.
As the fire brigade announced on Saturday, neighbors noticed smoke from the roof of the house in the Vellage district around 1:35 a.m.
When the emergency services arrived, the roof structure was already on fire, and flames broke out from the roof.
The person could not be saved, it was said.
After the extinguishing work, the THW was alerted to secure the building.
The fire brigade's work ended in the morning.
