“The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Novosibirsk region have opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art.
212 of the Criminal Code of Russia (calls for riots), ”the ministry said in a statement.
According to the investigation, unidentified users of social networks published calls for riots, “accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, destruction of property, the use of weapons, explosive devices, explosives, poisonous or other substances and objects posing a danger to others, as well as armed resistance to representatives authorities".
“The carried out operational-search measures identified the person who made the calls.
It turned out to be a 20-year-old resident of Novosibirsk.
The suspect was detained under Art.
91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Russia, gave testimony regarding his correspondence on the Internet with other users, ”the Investigative Committee noted.
In the near future, the investigation will go to court with a petition to choose a preventive measure against the person involved.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the dissemination of calls on minors to participate in illegal rallies on January 23 on social networks.
Roskomnadzor reported that social networks have begun to remove appeals addressed to children to participate in unauthorized actions.
