In Germany, companies will have to implement strict home office rules from next Wednesday - but the state itself does not create to a large extent what it dictates to companies.

This was the result of a survey by WELT AM SONNTAG among 16 federal authorities and 14 large cities.

The question was only explicitly about office jobs that are basically suitable for home work.

In many of these offices, not even every second office worker can work from home, despite the pandemic.

There are two main reasons why they are so poorly prepared from the authorities' responses:
