Lahti (dpa) - The German ski jumpers took third place at the team world cup in Lahti, Finland.

Karl Geiger, Markus Eisenbichler, Pius Paschke and Martin Hamann only had to admit defeat to the victorious Norwegians and Poles.

Compared to the very disappointing sixth place in the previous week in Poland, the team of national coach Stefan Horngacher was much stronger and more stable.

Geiger managed the longest jump in the German quartet, jumping 129 meters and thus securing the podium.
