Bayreuth (dpa / lby) - A dangerous goods transporter loaded with the highly flammable chemical acetone skidded on the Autobahn 9 near Bayreuth - the trailer overturned.
The liquid did not leak from the trailer on Saturday, but recovery was difficult, the police said.
Therefore, the A9 must be closed for several hours in the afternoon.
A police spokesman said the flammable chemical had to be pumped out of the fallen trailer using special pumps and loaded into a new trailer.
The road conditions were wintry at the time of the accident on Saturday morning.
The exact cause of the accident was initially unclear, however, property damage of around 40,000 euros occurred to the vehicle.
