23 January 2021 A definitive offer to Atlantia, within the deadline set for next January 31, for the purchase of 88% of Autostrade per l'Italia.
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti is working on this, together with the American fund Blackstone and the Australian fund Macquarie for the motorway concession.
Atlantia is awaiting the 31st of the month after that, in an exchange of letters between the two parties, the Benetton holding asked for the date to be respected.
Precisely on the basis of the investigation and in-depth analysis of the data and information relating to the object under negotiation, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti allegedly complained about the lack of information to complete the bidding process.
Atlantia on the other hand emphasizes that it has provided all the information and data necessary for the successful completion of the operation.

The CEO of Aspi, Roberto Tomasi, during the presentation of the 2020-2024 business plan said: "We have deposited very important volumes of documents and we have answered over 2 thousand questions with an extremely important detail".
At the moment, visits are underway by the technicians and consultants of Cassa e Depositi Prestiti on over 130 bridges and tunnels managed by Aspi.
