Troisdorf (dpa / lnw) - A 61-year-old scooter driver drove into a ditch in Troisdorf and died.
The man had lost control of the scooter for an unexplained cause, the police said on Saturday.
"Bild" had previously reported.
Road users spotted the man and called the ambulance.
The resuscitation of the 61-year-old was unsuccessful, according to the police.
The cause of the accident was initially unknown.
The police currently rule out third-party negligence.
