Braunschweig (dpa) - Hamburger SV has taken the next big step towards the Bundesliga return.

Despite a 2-0 deficit, the leader of the table won 4-2 (1: 2) at old north rivals Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday and thus made the first round championship in the 2nd Bundesliga perfect.

After conceding goals by Felix Kroos (9th minute) and Marcel Bär (42nd), David Kinsombi brought HSV back before the break (45th + 2).

Striker Simon Terodde (51st), Sonny Kittel (59th) and again Kinsombi (65th) took advantage of three serious mistakes in the Braunschweig back line shortly after the change.

For one half, the newcomer had fought against Hamburg's superiority with consistent defensive work.
