The White House in the United States says deterrence is a major concern and will conduct a thorough review of its policy toward North Korea.

White House spokesman Jen Saki said at a briefing on the 22nd local time that President Biden's firm view is that North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missiles are a serious threat to international security and undermine the global nonproliferation regime.

He said, "We will work closely with alliances such as Korea and Japan to adopt a new strategy to keep the alliance safe with the United States."
