Kiel (dpa / lno) - Because of the Corona requirements, tourism in Schleswig-Holstein largely came to a standstill last November.

The number of overnight guests fell compared to the same month last year by 83.5 percent to 75,000, as the North Statistics Office announced on Friday in Hamburg.

The number of overnight stays booked decreased by 68.9 percent to 460,000 compared to November 2019.

Decisive for the break-in is the ban on accommodation for private travelers, which has been in force since the beginning of November.

Without camping sites, the accommodation establishments recorded a decrease of 83.4 percent in guest arrivals and 68.8 percent fewer overnight stays.

In the months of January to November of the Corona year 2020, according to the information, 27.1 percent fewer guests arrived.

The number of overnight stays fell by 16.8 percent during this period.
