"For civil servants, the appointment and release from which are carried out by the President of Russia, when extending the term of civil service, the restriction associated with reaching the age of 70 does not apply," the text of the bill says.

As noted in the explanatory note, the current version of the law on the civil service established the age limit for staying at it - 65 years, and a civil servant who is in the post of the category of "leaders" of the highest group of positions, the term of service can be extended to 70 years. 

The bill submitted to the State Duma provides that in exceptional cases, when extending the term of the civil service, this age limit will not apply.

Earlier, the State Duma adopted in the first reading bills prohibiting state and municipal employees from having a second citizenship or a residence permit abroad.
