Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The seven-day value for new corona infections has continued to fall slightly in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The health authorities reported 107.4 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days - after 110.6 the previous day, according to information from the Robert Koch Institute on Friday morning.

3430 people were newly infected within one day in NRW.

The number of people who died of or with Covid-19 rose by 138 to 9,773. The day before, the authorities had registered 162 corona deaths within one day in the state.

In the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia, only the district of Höxter was just above the incidence value of 200.4 at 200.4.

In addition, Coesfeld in Westphalia is also approaching the limit of 50 with 53.3.

From Monday, a special mask requirement applies in NRW in buses and trains, supermarkets, doctor's offices and church services, as the state announced on Thursday evening.

Previously, the index 200 for the 7-day incidence was the limit for rigorous measures such as the 15-kilometer rule, but now the districts and urban districts must also check individual measures for lower numbers - if they do not fall below the number 50 by the end of the lockdown on February 14th.
