Suhl (dpa / th) - Despite the recent mild days with thaw, there is still a lot of snow in the Thuringian Forest.
In the winter sports regions there, the snow cover was up to 70 centimeters on Friday, as the Thuringian Forest regional association announced on its website.
However, the quality of the trails suffered.
The cross-country routes could not be freshly groomed on Friday, as Stefan Ebert from the regional association said.
Skiers would therefore have to expect restrictions.
Alpine ski lifts are closed due to the corona pandemic.
The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts up to ten centimeters of fresh snow in the Thuringian Forest for Saturday night.
It should be slightly frosty there on the weekend.
