Mönchengladbach (dpa) - Borussia Mönchengladbach has given Borussia Dortmund the next serious setback at the start of the second half of the season.

Coach Marco Rose's team won 4-2 (2-2) against BVB on Friday.

Nico Elvedi (11th / 32nd), Ramy Bensebaini (49th) and Marcus Thuram (79th) scored the goals for Borussia vom Niederrhein, who were still undefeated this year.

After their first win against Westphalia in almost six years, the Gladbachers moved past Dortmund into fourth place.

The two goals by Erling Haaland (22/28) could not prevent Dortmund's third winless game in a row.
