The police confirm on Friday afternoon that the attack on a bus in Bergeforsen was made because they received tips that two of the murderers convicted for the day in the Court of Appeal in the case of the fatal shooting in Nacksta were on the bus.
Something that later did not turn out to be true.
The attack was perceived as very frightening by Marianne Sehlin and her two 12-year-old sons.
- They come in with gray clothes and automatic weapons, one of my boys lies down and wonders if they are going to shoot us, says Marianne.
Justified operation according to the police
According to the police, the operation was justified in view of the circumstances and the use of the method that is safest and best in the current situation.
- In this case with the background that existed, there was a lot of tension, says the local police area chief in Medelpad Josef Wiklund who has nothing to object to the effort.
"Never again bus"
At the same time, Josef Wiklund understands that the incident provokes reactions among the passengers.
- I understand that it can seem scary, he says.
Marianne Sehlin thinks that the police could have acted in a less frightening way and notes that her sons have been really frightened.
- They never intend to take the bus again, she says.
