Like much else, Gröna Lund has been hit hard by the pandemic.

Harder than many other businesses, according to CEO Magnus Widell.

- We have not had any income at all since November 2019. It is clear that it has been extremely tough, he says.

Recruits 1,500 people

But now the amusement park is planning to open in April this year.

A total of 1,500 people will be recruited, as many as before a regular season.

This is despite the fact that Stockholm still has extensive spread of infection and that many strict restrictions still remain.

- It is clear that we listen to the situation in society. Should it be the case that the infection situation is still so serious, we also understand that we will not be allowed to open. But we must choose to see the positive because if we do not start these processes now, we will not be able to open until well into the summer, says Magnus Widell.
