Mariaposching (dpa / lby) - A 64-year-old was injured in a fire in a single-family house in the Straubing-Bogen district - and property damage of around 250,000 euros resulted.
The man had noticed the flames during repair work on a car in his garage and tried to extinguish the fire - in vain, the police said.
The fire broke out in the house in Mariaposching on Thursday afternoon for reasons unknown until now;
where exactly was initially unclear.
The flames spread to the double garage and the roof of the building including the solar system.
In the course of fighting the fire, the 64-year-old was slightly injured by inhaling smoke gases.
